Hair Care Tips

Sealing wefts can promote longevity and reduce shedding. You can purchase sealant from Joann's, Michael's, etc.

Shampoo: Brush/comb extensions before wetting the hair. Wet the hair thoroughly. Using sulfate free and non alcohol based products, apply and lather gently, working in a downward motion starting at the ends. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to prevent stiffness or residue buildup on the extensions.

Conditioning: Allow conditioner to sit for 5-10 minutes (or follow instructions on conditioner bottle). Comb through with a wide tooth comb. Rinse thoroughly with cool to warm water to retain moisture.

Drying: We highly recommend air drying, towel drying, or using an old shirt to prevent heat damage. If you would like to blow dry, apply heat protectant and blow dry on cool setting. Apply a small amount of oil to add moisture.

For longevity, we recommend:

  • Washing hair weekly if not biweekly;
  • Before bed, use the wrap method for straight hair, two strand twist for curly hair, and flexi rods for body wave;
  • Try not to cut the weft using the flip over method to prevent shedding;
  • Making units/wigs can last a bit longer;
  • Not applying too much oil/product which can weigh the hair down giving a stiff look. With some products, you can add a little water to reactivate the product that’s already in your hair;
  • And most importantly, love your hair, It's yours!
